Strike Introduces New Jira Integration to Streamline Vulnerability Management

When an organization identifies a vulnerability, it sets off a process involving multiple teams: security needs to communicate the finding, development needs to manage the fix, and ultimately, the organization needs to verify that the issue has been resolved.

In many organizations, these tasks happen across different platforms. Teams must manually transfer information, create tickets, update statuses, and track remediation progress.

To simplify this process, Strike introduces a new Jira integration, connecting confirmed vulnerabilities in the platform with the workflows teams already use.

Automatically Turn Security Findings into Jira Issues

With this integration, confirmed vulnerabilities in Strike can automatically become Jira issues, eliminating the need to create tickets manually.

Teams can choose which vulnerabilities to send and which Jira projects they should go to, while keeping their existing vulnerability management and remediation workflows.

The integration also enables status synchronization between both platforms. As a vulnerability's status changes in Strike, its corresponding Jira issue is updated based on the configured settings.

This reduces manual updates and makes it easier to track vulnerabilities throughout the remediation process.

Bidirectional Sync: Connect Fixes with Validation

The integration goes beyond sending information from Strike to Jira.

Teams can also enable bidirectional synchronization, allowing certain actions in Jira to trigger updates in Strike.

For example, when a team marks a vulnerability as fixed in Jira, the integration can be configured to trigger a retest in Strike before considering it resolved.

If the retest confirms the fix, the vulnerability is closed. If the issue persists, Strike reopens the Jira issue and adds a comment explaining the validation result.

This allows teams to connect remediation tracking with fix verification without leaving their existing workflows.

An Integration That Connects Security and Development

The Strike and Jira integration enables security and development teams to work with connected information, without manually transferring findings between platforms.

While Strike centralizes vulnerability detection, management, and validation, Jira remains the workspace where teams can organize and track remediation tasks.

The integration also preserves the information teams manage in Jira, including assignees, labels, due dates, and comments.

The result is a more connected workflow across vulnerability detection, remediation tracking, and fix validation.

With this new integration, Strike continues to expand its platform capabilities to simplify vulnerability management and support security teams throughout the remediation process.
